What we do

Home cleaning

Every clean is £20 an hour, with supplies and equipment included. We suggest a time for your home and you can change it when you book.

• Weekly and fortnightly cleans. A steady rhythm, with Nicola every time.
• One off cleans. A single visit with no commitment, for when you need a hand. It takes about 1.5 times as long as a regular visit.
• Deep cleans. A proper top to bottom clean, for a fresh start or before guests arrive. It takes about twice as long as a regular visit.

Who cleans your home

Fettle It is run by a brother and sister, Nicola and Paul. Nicola cleans your home herself, and she is also the person you will deal with from your first message to your last visit. What a clean includes

Every home and every household is a little different, so we talk it through on the phone before your first clean. As a guide, a regular clean covers:

• Kitchen. Worktops, sink and taps, hob, the outside of appliances, and the floor.
• Bathrooms. Shower or bath, toilet, basin, taps, mirrors, and the floor.
• Living areas and bedrooms. Dusting, vacuuming, mopping hard floors, and a general tidy.
• Bins. Emptied and bagged up.

A one off clean covers the same list as a regular clean, with more time to spend on it.

A deep clean covers everything in a regular clean, plus the jobs that do not get done every week:

• Skirting boards, door frames, doors and light switches wiped down.
• Window sills and tracks, and the inside of the windows you can reach.
• Cobwebs removed, and the tops of units, shelves and picture frames dusted.
• Limescale and built up grime tackled in the kitchen and bathrooms.
• Cupboard and drawer fronts cleaned, and under and behind furniture you can easily move.

Some jobs are better done on a rota than every visit, such as skirting boards or changing beds. We are happy to build these into your visits, so just ask when we call.

Choosing the right clean

• Keeping on top of things? Choose a weekly or fortnightly clean.
• Busy week or a one time need? Choose a one off clean.
• Moving in, moving out, or years since the last proper clean? Choose a deep clean.

Ironing, collected and returned

Add ironing to any home clean. Give us your clothes already washed and dry, and we collect them on your clean day. Our ironing specialist irons them, and they come back to you folded or hung about three days later. You choose a bag size when you book, we weigh it when we collect it, and you pay for the actual weight once it is back with you. See pricing for the rates.

We also look after holiday lets, offices and other spaces. Every one is different, so we quote each job. Ask for a quote.
